To get started, learn the two types of online Craps roll - the Come Out roll and the Points roll – and the main bets that you place during each of these rolls – namely, the Come Bet, the Don’t Come bet, the Pass Line bet and the Don’t Pass bet. Once you have these mastered, you can begin to play, adding to your knowledge base as you become more accustomed to the game and its rules.

Craps Rolls and Bets

These are the main rolls and bets that you need to understand to get you started at the online Craps table.

  • Come out roll: this kicks off every new game, and shows the dealer button as turned to OFF. The shooter aims to try and establish a point by rolling a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.
  • Points Roll: the name given to all rolls once a point has been established, and shows the dealer button as turned to ON.
  • Come bet: only possible on a Points roll, this bet wins and pays out when a 7 or 11 is rolled, and loses with a 2, 3 or 12. If the roll result is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, that point must be rolled again before a 7 is thrown for the bet to win.
  • Pass line bet: a wager that the shooter will roll a total of 7 or 11 on the Come Out roll. If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled, that point needs to be rolled again before a 7 is thrown for this bet to win and pay out.
  • Don’t Come bet: only possible on a Points roll, this bet wins and pays out on 2 or 3 and loses with 7 or 11. A roll of 12 is considered a push or draw, which means that you will have your stake automatically returned to your bankroll.
  • Don’t Pass bet: placed on the Come Out roll only, this bet loses if a 7 or 11 is rolled. It wins and pays out only if a 2 or 3 is rolled. A roll of 12 is considered a push or draw, which means that you will have your stake automatically returned to your bankroll.
